Commissions Opening!

The last batch of summer commissions is in the works. I’ve drawn people’s houses, local businesses, and more. Can’t wait to share the most recent one with you all soon!

What this means: the request form for autumn commissions is opening! Do you need a gift for a birthday, anniversary, or housewarming? Are you redecorating? Let’s get you on the books!

For more information and to book, click here. The next time this form will be open is November/December.

Please keep in mind that commission requests are requests. I’d love to draw everyone’s pieces, but time is fleeting :)

Behind the Art

July’s special print is a drawing of Gaudí’s La Sagrada Família. After 144 years, this “minor basilica” (—The Pope, 2010) finally has its main structure complete. This year was the 100th anniversary of the architect’s death—and the 10-year anniversary of my visit.

Back in 2016 I was living in the middle of rural Appalachia. I was ‘celebrating’ a second wedding anniversary to someone who warped my brain and confidence. I had little hope of doing anything with my art. Or trying anything new. Or just generally experiencing joy.

Since then I’ve done much work. I’m now happily divorced, mentally healthy, re-partnered, and a professional artist. I’ve had the opportunity to visit numerous cool places. Even better: I’ve learned how to appreciate the spaces around me like a tourist would. Hoping for any of this would have seemed delusional ten years ago.

So July’s print is dedicated to delusion: Keep hoping, keep working. If Gaudí can do it, we can too.

New Hires

Meet my brand new studio assistants, Spanakopita and Moussaka! They’re a sister/brother pair with two months’ life experience. Spanakopita has already shown quite refined taste. Moussaka is already pawing at the tools.

That’s all for now!

Keep up the delusions.
